Yamaha Portable Keyboards.

Yamaha are I think the best for keyboards. They make a wide range of keyboards starting at around 200 up to almost 3000. In aYamaha keyboard you need to look for a few things.

StylesStyles are the drums, bass and guitar parts added when chords are entered. You wouldn't use these if you were a pianist
Voices Voices are the instrument sounds. Yamaha create several types of these sounds: Normal, Sweet, Cool, Live and Super Articulation(Tyros 2 Only)
Use There isn't a point to buying an expensive arranger keyboard if you cannot play it. Buy the keyboard that is most suited to your needs. i.e if you are a gigging musician buy an expensive keyboard with lots of everything (tyros, tyros 2, psr3000)
Price There is no need to buy a really expensive keyboard no matter how good you are. The instrument only aids you and a good musician make any keyboard sound good. I earn 35-50 per hour and I have a keyboard similar to the PSR-295

The Yamaha keyboard isperfect for beginners, semi-professionals and professionals alike, giving them all tools and options to make music easier and more fun. Some good beginners keyboards are:

PSR 295 This keyboard has some good styles and auto accompaniments. Along with some fantastic high quality instrument sounds including Yamaha's sweet and cool which are specially programmed to sound as realistic as possible.
DGX 220 This keyboard has lots of features including 76 piano style keys. These are not weighted. This keyboard has around 135 background styles and a lot of voices.
PSR 450 This keyboard has a few more tricks and tools than the other two as it has a floppy drive a MIDI in and out connector and lots of sweet, cool and live voicings

PSR 125 (Not Recommended)
PSR 175 (For Tight Budgets)
PSR 275 (For Tight Budgets)

I would recommend these for more intermediate use

PSR 1500 A cheaper and less advanced version of the PSR3000 It has lots more sweet, cool and live voices than any beginner keyboard and has Organ Flutes which let you change the footages on the LCD Screen
DGX 520/620 The DGX 520 and 620 are practically identical apart from the 620 has a weighted action on its 88 keys. The bigger brother of the DGX 220. They both have 88 keys, 150 voices and they're screens can display music and lyrics for songs.
PSR K1 A more simple version of the DGX 520/620 it is more of a karaoke keyboard with a microphone this can also display lyrics and scores.

These keyboards I would recomend for advanced use

Tyros 2
