The New R-Com 3 Egg Automatic Digital Incubator

Bobkan Poultry has just completed a trial of this egg cellent little incubator. We used 3 Aylesbury Duck fertile hatching eggs (from experience, we know duck eggs are difficult to incubate) to provide a good test. All 3 hatched yesterday! This Incubator can be set to incubate chicken, duck, geese, turkey, quail, pheasant, guinea fowl etc. Infact, if you have a fair idea of the incubation period required, it can be used for almost any species (we would not suggest it is accurate enough to incubate valuable or rare birds without further testing!) Small and large egg trays are available seperately, as is a battery operated Candling lamp and a car battery adapter -so you can now take your incubator on holiday with you :)

Designed for children as an educational aid, it does exactly what it says on the box! The instructions, whilst written in Korean English, are hillarious (they will have you and your kids in stitches!).

Following the step by step guide, the incubator was set up and ready to go within 5 minutes. The booklet also includes information on embryo development, with illustrations, and incubation record tables.

The clear, see through top, makes it easy to inspect the eggs without removing to cover.

The digital display provides a readout of the internal temperature and a count-down clock - no more "Are they ready yet?" questions!

An alarm is sounded when the water resevouir is low and needs toping up, and the incubator automatically turns the eggs until 3 days prior to hatch. An easy clean hatching tray is provided to set the eggs on for hatching, thus avoiding the need to take the incubator apart for cleaning before the next batch of eggs.

The instructions suggest using the box the incubator comes in as a brooder, though we think this is only viable once unless you protect it.

All in all, well worth the money - and it comes in a choice of colours (Pink or White)
